Art gallery in the Old Town Hall

The art gallery in the Old Town Hall in Prien showcases a varied selection of exhibitions. It features both regional tradition as well as internationally renowned artists.
Visitors can expect craftsmanship, a “Biedermeier room”, a manger room and religious folk art. The museum is also home to special exhibitions and traditional events.

Wednesday - Saturday
10 am12 pm and 2 – 5 pm
Closed on public holidays
Special opening hours at Christmas. 

“Saints and mangers”
26 November to 10 January: The painter Bartholomäus Wappmannsberger (1894 to 1984 in Prien) made his name with his nativity scenes and religious pictures at the Bavarian National Museum in Munich. In 1954 he painted the 30 metre background for the nativity scene of Einsiedek in
Switzerland. He is also known for his portraits and landscape paintings.
