From gentle cycling and walking tours, inline skating or Nordic walking along the idyllic lakeside to mountain biking and hiking in the Chiemgauer Alps – Chiemsee and the surrounding region has something for everyone. There is also nothing holding water sports lovers back from setting sail here either. Whether sailing or (kite) surfing, Chiemsee guarantees both relaxing moments and adrenaline rushes. Especially in spring and autumn, the Bavarian seaside is the ideal surf spot, offering perfect wind conditions. Amateur and professional climbers test their skills in Prien’s climbing world – one of Upper Bavaria’s finest. Over a 10,000 square meter area, there are bridges, connections and ropes for skill levels ranging from slightly challenging to all pro. Playing 18 holes of golf against this fantastic natural backdrop is also an option. The region can boast seven well known golf courses. Why not pick up the Chiemsee Golf Card? It allows you to pay for three green fees and then get the fourth round free! In autumn, professional and amateur sportsmen and women come to region to put their skills to the test in the “Chiemsee Königswalk” and “Skate den Chiemsee” events.
